So yesterday was the end of my diet and workout initiative for the month of May. If you haven’t been following along I spent the month of May trying to eat more healthy and be more active to promote a healthier lifestyle for myself. I can say that this month was definitely a challenge, but [...]

So here we are at the last couple days that we have of this month. It has been a fun and interesting journey to take this month to try and become healthier, and I think I have learned a lot. I will probably go more in-depth into what I learned as either my last article of the month or the first of my June posts. I am also going to start thinking of new topics to blog about here.
This weekend I was blessed to be a part of my youth group’s annual retreat. This is the retreat held every year by CFC-Youth Campus Based of UCI. Normally the camp is held in January, but due to weather and snow damage that happened in January we had to postpone the retreat to May. This year, just like I have in the past, I helped out at the camp by being part of Kitchen Ministry and cooked for everyone at the camp.
Nothing much to say today, just here is what I ate for the past two days. Busy working and preparing for a retreat this weekend. Just to come back to a topic that I mentioned the other day, check out this blog post by my friend Sarah Luna. It talks about making healthy food choices and working up a routine.
So I have made it past the 3 week mark and my month of eating healthier and being more active is almost complete. It has been an enlightening experience so far and I have been seeing results. I even had a co-worker notice that I was loosing weight so that is a good sign. I will probably continue to eat healthier after this month finishes just as I encourage any readers of my blog to do so as well.
Here we are again, just another couple days completed for my month of activity and diet. I did have a little cheat day with Disneyland but that was a special occasion since we had an out of town visitor. Man, when you are on a diet everything sure looks like desserts.
All is going well so far for this month of eating healthier and being more active. I’m almost two thirds of the way done with this month and I have done pretty well so far. Running has become a little bit easier and eating healthier makes me feel like I have more energy and feeling less bloated I would say.
One thing that I have been trying to do for the past couple weeks is create a routine to make working out easier. It’s been difficult to do so with my hectic schedule being what it is. But the past couple days and working out has been making me feel good and making me want to work out more.
Today I am just a day away from going halfway through this month of eating healthier and being more active. I have to admit that this weekend was a little of a cheat since Saturday we went to take Jeannie’s brother, Christian, to watch the Avengers and we had some popcorn. The homemade vietnamese food we ate also is not the best food to eat, with all the sodium being consumed, but at least it was homemade. I will make up for it on Monday when I try and go for a longer run.
Today I just noticed even more snacking I would have done at work. Every once and a while a manger will buy some ice cream for one of the closing teams that night. Today I discovered the free ice cream that a manager got for the team that has been in the freezer.
