Ending Stretch

So here we are at the last couple days that we have of this month. It has been a fun and interesting journey to take this month to try and become healthier, and I think I have learned a lot. I will probably go more in-depth into what I learned as either my last article of the month or the first of my June posts. I am also going to start thinking of new topics to blog about here.

Retreat Weekend

This weekend I was blessed to be a part of my youth group’s annual retreat. This is the retreat held every year by CFC-Youth Campus Based of UCI. Normally the camp is held in January, but due to weather and snow damage that happened in January we had to postpone the retreat to May. This year, just like I have in the past, I helped out at the camp by being part of Kitchen Ministry and cooked for everyone at the camp.

3 Weeks Done

So I have made it past the 3 week mark and my month of eating healthier and being more active is almost complete. It has been an enlightening experience so far and I have been seeing results. I even had a co-worker notice that I was loosing weight so that is a good sign. I will probably continue to eat healthier after this month finishes just as I encourage any readers of my blog to do so as well.

Almost Halfway!

Today I am just a day away from going halfway through this month of eating healthier and being more active. I have to admit that this weekend was a little of a cheat since Saturday we went to take Jeannie’s brother, Christian, to watch the Avengers and we had some popcorn. The homemade vietnamese food we ate also is not the best food to eat, with all the sodium being consumed, but at least it was homemade. I will make up for it on Monday when I try and go for a longer run.
